About the author

Maggi Delgado is a multimedia producer and educator. With a background in media students and now a digital humanities scholar, Maggi is constantly interweaving storytelling, media-making, and pedagogy. As media educator at Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s Youth Channel, Maggi created curriculums, trained learners, and co-produced original pieces about media literacy, media production, and constructing socially conscious content. In this vein, open education and co-creating with learners have been part of pedagogy without her even knowing.

Now, as she pursues a digital humanities degree with a concentration on digital pedagogy, Maggi is interested in new and experimental teaching methods, ones that are more inclusive, with a wider global awareness and reach. With the brief guide to co-creation, Maggi hopes to inspire educators who are thinking about these concepts and implementing them in their classrooms and beyond.
